Dustin Krassin, OD
Dr. Dustin Krassin is a residency-trained medical optometrist that practices comprehensive eye care with an emphasis in diagnosis and management of ocular disease, pre and postoperative care of ocular surgeries, and contact lens fitting including specialty contact lenses.

He received his undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Music from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2004. He then went on to complete his doctor of optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2008. After which he completed a post-graduate residency at the Illinois Eye Institute at the Illinois College of Optometry in primary care and ocular disease. He is also Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is also a Clinical Assistant Professor with The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He actively mentors fourth year optometry students as a clinical attending and has lectured numerous times at local and national levels including at the prestigious American Academy of Optometry and American Optometric Association’s annual meetings. He also has extensive experience with refractive surgery co-management including LASIK and PRK as well as passion for conditions of the front of the eye including dry eye, allergies, and other red eye conditions.
Dr. Krassin has solely practiced in the Chicagoland area since graduating. He has also participated in eye care missions to El Salvador, Pohnpei, and Guam as well as participation in eye and vision screenings at the Special Olympic games in both Southern California and Chicago. He loves to cook, BBQ, and garden. He also enjoys playing piano, juggling, and spending time with his wife Cathy who is also an optometrist and their son, Paxton.
